What is the My First Pony Level 1 Handler Test?

It is an online assessment for young riders who want to practise pony-handling skills and receive professional feedback by email.

Who is the test for?

It is intended for our younger riders preparing them for a riding-school, riding-club or pony-handling assessment.

What do I need to submit?

You need to submit a video of the rider completing the relevant Level 1 handler test.

Must an adult film the video?

It doesn’t have to be an adult, our young riders are usually very capable camera people.

What feedback will I receive?

Our judge provides a feedback protocol with training and competition tips based on the submitted video.

Can I submit more than one video?

No, but you can take as many videos as you want before picking the best one.

When will I receive my feedback?

We will email your feedback once all results have been published.

  2. Download the test after purchase.
  3. Film your young pony fan as per instructions (read more about filming).
  4. Submit your video before the monthly deadline.
  5. The judge reviews all submitted videos after the closing date.
  6. Receive your judge’s protocol by email.
  7. View the published results according to your privacy preferences.
  8. Receive your rosette or prize by post the following month, where applicable.
